Project Life :: Week 21

I love using a kit of physical products, I really do. But I also love using DIGITAL products as well. SO easy to manipulate and use exactly how you need them.

For this week I used the latest release of digital stamps from Kellie Stamps to create this Project Life spread. And although I did add one stamp directly to my photo, I also used them for hand-stitching, embellishments, background patterns and creating my own cards! Each one coloured and sized perfectly for my spread. And all done in less than 30 minutes! Too easy.

Traveler's Notebook :: 100% Tired

I think it is really important to make sure you are documenting not just the good days, but also those not-so-great days. Lately I've been feeling a bit overwhelmed with life and the latest release from Kellie Stamps has the perfect set for that, THIS GIRL.

Project Life :: Week 20

I don't know about you but I NEVER seem to actually kill a kit, there is always quite a lot left over. And those left over kits end up going in a very full drawer with all the others as my shiny new kits arrive each month.

This week, I had no shiny new kit waiting for me so I decided to challenge myself and dive fist first into that drawer, randomly pick out a kit and work with that. And actually, it was a lot of fun! I added some stamps from my stash but pretty easily managed to pull together another week from that kit (which I think is the January Pocket Life kit from Citrus Twist Kits).

Traveler's Notebook :: You are my people

I didn't really know what I was going to do and I wasn't sure the vague idea I had in my head was going to work but I REALLY wanted to use the alphas in the June Citrus Twist Kits Sprinkles kit to make a bold title in my TN.

Luckily it worked out perfectly and with the addition of a few die-cuts from the Pocket Life kit, my page was all done. So bright and colourful!

Traveler's Notebook :: Crafty Twins Mood Board Challenge #2

Are you ready for the second Crafty Twins Mood Board Challenge? I created the mood board for this month and, of course, I couldn't go past something a bit rainbow-y.

I was so inspired by this mood board that I ended up with TWO pages from it! The first was inspired by the yellow motivational quote. I scripted a quote on yellow paper, added some colourful photos from my crafty space and topped it all off with some enamel dots. The yellow paper crinkled a bit as I glued it down and I wish it was flatter but hey, that's life isn't it. Bright, bold but sometimes a little bit crinkly round the edges!

My second page was inspired by the repeated words and the art with the pom pom garland hanging from it.

I used the MAKERS GONNA MAKE stamp from Kellie Stamps and did some repeat stamping in blue, with one stamp in pink as a focal point. Then I created a paper garland and "hung" it over my page. I really love how this turned out, it's all jangly and moves about when the pages are turned!

Please head on over to Essie's YouTube channel and check out the gorgeousness that she created as well. If you do make something inspired by this mood board, PLEASE let me know, I can't wait to see what you come up wiht!

Project Life :: Week 19

I've been flat out working on secret projects over here but I also didn't want to let a week go by without a Project Life spread. So I did what any good cheater does, I used the brilliance of Brandi Kincaid's latest release to make my job 1000x easier.

I grabbed the Eloise and Laura cards and also the digital Tiny Victories kit and used a little bit of all of it here.

Traveler's Notebook :: Sunday Funday

Sunday is probably my favourite day of the week so when I saw the FUNDAY WEEK set from Kellie Stamps, I knew I had to document one of our lazy Sundays.

I challenged myself to use nothing but the stamp set and one 6x6 paper pad, and it turns out, it wasn't as hard as I thought. I have SO many of these pads lying around, it might be a great way to start using some of them. Although I do really wish you could get TN sized paper!

Project Life :: Week 18

Don't you hate it when you run out of e's? I'm forever running out of e's. But I do love it when an alpha is big enough (and not sticky!) for me to use it as a stitching guide. Then I'll never run out of e's!

Couldn't go past this rainbow stripe paper in the June Citrus Twist Kits Pocket Life kit (of course), and even though we are heading into the gloom of winter, I love how bright and cheery this week looks.

Project Life :: Week 17

One way to deal with a lack of photos is an enlargement. One way to deal with a poorly lit and focused photo is to change it to black and white. Here I've combined both! Which allowed me to keep a strong colour scheme of yellow and teal with some little pops of red florals from the June Citrus Twist Kits Pocket Life kit.

The colours on those tags didn't suit me so I simply flipped them over and used the back. A bit of stitching adds some detail and texture.

Kellie Stamps :: I heart coffee

I love digital stamps, not just for how easy they are to add to photos, but for how easy they make it to add little details to your projects. I added a few hearts from the COFFEE set, then simply stitched around them in white thread. Done.

Traveler's Notebook :: Little Punk

Poor Lily dislocated her knee but that didn't stop her trying to jump up on the furniture! So when Snapchat recognised her for the rotter she is, I knew I had to capture it in my notebook.

I love this ANZAC ALPHA from Kellie Stamps, perfect size for Traveler's Notebooks and Project Life. I also love cheating and using my craft dies a little bit differently to suit my needs! And I especially love this little punk!

Traveler's Notebook :: Pretty

I was lucky enough to collaborate with Kellie Stamps again, this time on the MAKERS GONNA MAKE set which I've used on this page in my TN.

I really wanted to do my stamping on a shipping tag but the only ones I have left are neon yellow so I had to make one myself. So easy!

How to print photos for Project Life

The question I get asked the most often is how I print my photos.

So here is a quick overview on the pretty simple process I use for printing photos for my Project Life, my Traveler's Notebooks and all my other projects!

Project Life :: Week 16

The ultimate in simplicity, all I used is some pattern paper and the new clear stamp releases: ANZAC ALPHA, FUNDAY WEEK and the MAKERS GONNA MAKE set (which I collaborated on) from Kellie Stamps! You can grab the freebie card I used from Kellie's blog, where she has a freebie every Friday!

Traveler's Notebook :: Shine On

I loved the pretty and girly colours in the April Planner kit from Studio Calico, they are really my favourite types of colours. And perfect for this page about Lily.

I really did faff about with the stars an awful lot, but because of the weird lighting – I hadn't even noticed that some of them were gold, they looked brown!
